Dear Fellow Networker,
Have
you ever been faced with a situation where you knew you needed to do
things differently in your life and business, but were too afraid?

wasn't so long ago when I was laid off from my job and my husband
unable to work because of cancer. I wanted to stay home and take care
of him, but we needed an income. The thought of going back to corporate
America was not an option! While I knew this would pay the bills, I couldn't help
but shudder at the fact of being away from him when he needed me the most.
The desire to stay home and be with my husband during a
trying time continued to nag at me. It became unbearable and I knew I
needed to make a decision to do something differently.
But how?
I
knew I wanted to start a business that I could operate from home, one
that would pay the bills and allow me to care for my husband.
But,
I really hated the part where you have to "beg" for
business. I saw other business people seeming to know the secret of
networking effectively, but I didn't consider myself a good
networker. I didn't like that networking seemed
so heartless, it seemed like I would need to sell my soul,
instead of selling my product.
I knew that I had to make a decision. Tony Robbins says...
"In
Your Moments of Decision, Your Destiny is Shaped."
So
I decided to get help. Real help. I sought out a mentor who would help
me discover how I could do networking on my terms, in a way that felt
authentic to me. In a way that had "heart."
Thanks
to my mentor, I learned and gradually began networking for business. I
will let you in on a little secret. At first, I found networking
extremely difficult because, you see, I was shy. I was definitely out
of my comfort zone.
But before long, with my mentor's
guidance, I found myself becoming more confident. I became comfortable
speaking in front of large groups. People in my industry started
seeking me out as a paid trainer, speaker and consultant. I made
lifelong friends with individuals and some of whom became business
partners. Best of all, my income grew in ways I could have never
imagined. Today I earn a full-time income from the comfort of my home.
My decision shaped my destiny in too many ways to count.
And I want to share the power of my experience with you.
